Hub says they are too similar.  I can count a million different ways they would each be worn...and equally necessary.  "Too much sparkle"....I think not.  In my book, there can never ever ever be too much sparkle.  That's like too much sunlight, or too much chocolate sauce.

passion for pillows

I'm admittedly one of those pillow people.  Just cant get enough of them.  Chairs, sofas, beds and benches....there can just never be enough.  Luckily I have a hub that appreciates my passion for pillows..as much as I'm sure he would rather dive into bed at night without much prep, he gingerly takes apart the bed one pillow at time...lining them up on the floor in the order they will be reassembled the next day.  True love...well  maybe not love for the pillows..but love for the wife that loves the pillows.  That works for me.

At this very moment, my personal pillow relationship is with John Robshaw.  Love the line always, but his latest array of pillows leaves me weak in the knees.

Saturday sort of feeling

It's Friday...and I have already moved waaaaay into Saturday.  I woke up this morning completely prepared for weekend mode. Hit snooze on the old alarm clock...added a little extra cream in my cup of Joe...slipped into a weekend robe ( yep, I wont hide that I have a full collection...some weekday robes, and others more appropriate for weekend where..but that's a whole other story.) It was shaping up to be a sweet Saturday morning until I flipped on the T.V, and much to my surprise...Matt Lauer was staring back at me.  To the rest of you TODAY fanatics, Matt is never ever around on the weekends ( I'm sure flitting off to the Hamptons or enjoying some other fantastic upper east side activity..)  So there it was...my Saturday was no more...it's Friday.  Consequently, I was late..had no amo to put together anything cute..so I'm in the stand-by leggings/baggy shirt/ tonsofaccessoriestodisguisemylackoffashioninspirationtoday outfit. All in all, obviously today had a Saturday sort of feeling...and if it was, i would be wearing this.

Holiday Re-wind

I cannot believe that it is the 12th of January. Where did the holidays go. As I am still not on top of daily posting ( or monthly for that matter) lots has happened. The holidays were a swirl of events... copious amounts of wine, one too many cheese balls, and what seems like one dinner party after another ushered us through the season.

Thanksgiving was our first large dinner party. A table for 12...and dinner for an army. It was so wonderful to have all of our family in one place at one time. My spray painted gords were a hit and they fabulously lasted through New Years!! Cheers to cheap DIY Christmas decor.

Christmas is officially gone. I packed the last few boxes away last night ans was sad to bid adieu to the sparking Christmas tree lights and twinkle of holiday glee. But what a fantastic first Christmas it was .

It's amazing to me every year how crazy this time of year. From the mad rush to get shopping done....cooking and drinking ( dont we all?!) like the world will end tomorrow.... Its overwhelming. Fun and fabulous to say the least..but lord it takes a month to get back to normal.

Sweetness.

Oh the hearwrenching cuteness of my pup. This is sweet baby Bubba this morning. His dad is away on a job working ( day 39..ahhhh) and he is sorely missing some man time. As much as he loves long walks with mom...way too much Kardashian t.v time...and red wine chats with his lonley madre'..he ( and I) are sure ready to have him back home. siiiiigh.
